Mr. Kang Zhan Bin
Professional 6 Dan
Born on 4th Jan 1963 in He Bei, China. Mr. Kang started learning Go since the age
of 12 and entered the sports school when he was 13. When he was 14, he entered the
national training team.
Mr. Kang won the “Mian Huai” Cup Fast Go competition in 1981 and was admitted to
the China National Go team in 1982. In 1982, Mr. Kang was also awarded the Professional
4 Dan status and in 1984 the Professional 6 Dan status.
Mr. Kang also previously served the China Go Almanac as Editorial Board Member.
In 1993, Mr. Kang joined the Singapore Weiqi Association as a full-time teacher.
Ms. Cho Mikyung
Professional 8 Dan
South Korean. Ms. Cho started learning Go at the age of 9. She has graduated from
Gangdong Meijin academy and became a professional in 2005.

In 2006, Masters Cup 1st round and The 12th Professional Female Kuksu Best 16
In 2007, Masters Cup 1st round and The 13th Professional Female Kuksu Best 16
In 2008, The 14th Professional Female Kuksu Semi Final Best 8

Ms. Cho also has experience in teaching elementary school students group and adult
lesson.
Mr. Zhao Zhi Gang
Amateur 5 Dan
Singaporean. Amateur 5 Dan. In 2002, Mr. Zhao took up the position of Singapore Weiqi Association part time
assistant coach. Mr. Zhao has also been actively promoting Weiqi in community centres
as well.
Mr. David Chua
Amateur 3 Dan
Singaporean. Amateur 3 Dan since 2004. Mr. Chua joined the Executive Committee of
the Singapore Weiqi Association (SWA) since 1997 and is responsible for the treasury
& finance matters of the association.
David has vast experience in teaching the art of Weiqi in SWA , schools and companies.
Mr. James Lee
Amateur 3 Dan
Singaporean. Amateur 3 Dan. As of 2011, James has been elected into the Singapore Weiqi Association and currently he is also the Vice President of Singapore Weiqi Association.
Since 2004, James has been teaching Weiqi part time
in the Singapore Weiqi Association. 2007 onwards, he became one of the Singapore
Weiqi association coaches and organized Weiqi appreciation classes in community
centres too.
James was awarded “Coach Appreciation Award” in 2009 by Hougang Primary School.
He specializes in English classes for Junior and Adult courses. In his spare time,
he is actively involved in Weiqi promotional activities and competitions.
